Lily Tanko signed her National Letter of Intent to play soccer for the University of Texas at Dallas on National Signing Day, February 3, 2022. Lily has competed at the highest levels in youth soccer.

Lily’s play with her nationally ranked Wyoming team crowned them champions of more than a dozen tournaments throughout the region, including champions of U.S. Club Soccer’s Northwest Regional tournament and a semi-final finish at the National tournament in 2019.

Lily was a three-time AA All- Conference standout player for Flathead High School and Lily helped guide the Class B Bigfork Valkyries to their first ever regular season winning record, post-season victory, and Class A semi-final appearance in her senior year. Lily was heavily recruited from colleges and universities from California to South Carolina and from New England to Texas.

Lily joins a talent heavy UTD Comets team that boasts a career 310-141-43 record that includes two ASC conference championships, four division championships, and two NCAA tournament appearances. Lily plans to study health sciences at UTD and hopes of returning to Montana as a veterinarian.
