Gunlock signs with BYU
Senior standout Braeden Gunlock has officially signed her National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Brigham Young University.
A multi-year varsity player and key leader for the Valkyries basketball team, Gunlock has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill, determination, and leadership on and off the court. Braeden’s exceptional basketball IQ and tireless effort on both ends of the court have been key to the team’s success throughout her high school career.
Gunlock’s achievements include 2 state championship appearances, All State Basketball selection in 2022, 2023 and 2024 and All State Soccer selection in 2022 and 2024. Her dedication to excellence has not only earned her a spot at one of the top basketball programs in the country, but has also inspired her teammates and peers.
“We couldn’t be prouder of Braeden,” said Matt Porrovecchio, Bigfork School Activities Director. “Her work ethic, commitment, and passion for the game have set her apart. BYU is not just getting an outstanding athlete but an incredible person who will excel at the next level.”
Braeden expressed her excitement about joining the BYU Cougars, stating, “Signing with BYU is a dream come true. I’m grateful for the support of my coaches, teammates, family, and friends who have helped me get to this point. I can’t wait to represent BYU on the court and continue to grow as a player and person.”
As Braeden prepares to join the BYU women’s basketball team, Bigfork High School celebrates her achievements and looks forward to seeing her excel at the collegiate level.
