The staff at Soucie Soucie chose the Special Olympics charity because of the love they have for these amazing athletes and their families and belief in the organization’s mission.
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
With the tickets sales alone the event has already raised $5,000 for the organization.
Representative Shelly Emslie along with athletes Anne Trout (Lighthouse Eagles team) and Jenni King (Kalispell Krushers team) will be speaking at the event. Many area athletes will also be participating.
