Logan James Taylor

Logan James Taylor, 18, passed away on July 16, 2004, from an accident in Whitefish Lake.

He was born in Whitefish on Jan. 1, 1986, and was the first baby of the New Year. His life was playing soccer. He played for Whitefish High School during the school year and for the Flathead Force soccer team during the winter.

He was lucky enough to see Hawaii on two occasions during his life. He loved the sun and the sand.

He worked for the city of Whitefish as a lifeguard in the summer and at the ice skating rink in the winter. Logan always had a smile and a nice word for everyone.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Bob Patterson; grandparents, Bob and Pat Taylor; cousins, Amy Patterson, Casey Patterson, Katie Patterson, and Jackie and Karen Patterson.

He is survived by his parents, Ron and Lita Taylor, and his sister, Cori Taylor, all at the family home in Whitefish; aunt, Tina Meyer; uncle, Robert Taylor; aunt, Denise Taylor, Jim Nelson; grandparents Betty and Dick Schultz; aunts, uncles and cousins, Lee, Tracy, R.J., Mariah and Jessie Patterson; Ken, Cindy and Alex Stein and Chris Patterson; Ane and Bob Shields, Lona Patterson and Erik Bergie; Len, Cindy and Clayton Patterson, Lew, Lynn and Rusty Patterson; his godparents, Tom and Darnell Joy and their girls, Emily and Amanda; his long-time love and supporter, MaKayla Peck; his best friends, Drew Hathaway, Jolly Righetti, Cory Snipes, Ben Schwanz, Billy Marcial, Sierra Fellers, Bob Edelen, Hunter Durgan, Ty Bacon, Shane Moore and Tyler Pyke. Also many more loving friends and family.

Memorial services were held Tuesday, July 20, at Christ Lutheran Church in Whitefish with Rev. Jon Bent and Rev. Jeff Teeples officiating. Burial followed at Glacier Memorial Gardens in Kalispell.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Whitefish High School and Flathead Force soccer programs. More information will be forthcoming.
