| November 15, 2004 11:00 PM

The Columbia Falls volleyball team won't exactly head into divisionals the way they want to.

The Kats dropped their final two matches last week, losing to Ronan in three games away Saturday, 25-20, 25-16, 25-22.

Last Thursday, they were blanked by Whitefish, in three games as well, 25-22, 25-16 and 30-29.

Battling injury and illness most of the year, the Kats wrapped up their regular season with a 3-7 conference mark and went 4-8 overall.

They face Ronan in the divisional tournament in Libby at 6 p.m. Thursday (today).

Against Whitefish, senior Jenna Toole had five aces, Danelle Herman had 12 kills and Kate Marcille had 28 assists. Shanelle Swift had three blocks.

Against Ronan, Swift had four aces, Nikki Freebury had seven kills and Marcille had 14 assists Herman had four blocks, and Holly Peek had 12 digs.

Head coach Josie Brown was out of town and could not be reached for comment.

The JV team wrapped up its season as well and it was a tough one, as they went winless on the year.
