FVCC women's soccer team captures first win
Sports Briefs The Flathead Valley Community College women's soccer team secured its first win, defeating Lewis-Clark State College 7-2 Nov. 7 in Lewiston, Idaho.
"Everybody played fantastic," said FVCC Women's Soccer CoachAl Swan.
The win followed a loss of 8-0 to the University of Idaho Nov. 6 in Moscow, Idaho. The team voted goal keeper Amber Townsely "Most Valuable Player" of the game as she saved 18 of the 26 shots.

Men's City League basketball is gearing up! It is time to register basketball teams.
The five on five league fee is $525 per team, registration deadline is Nov. 22, and the league starts Dec. 1.
The four on four league fee is $250 per team plus $35 per player fee. The four on four league starts in January. Please contact Ade Saunier at 758-7778 or Jennifer Reese at 758-7717.

he Glacier Twins Baseball organization has scheduled a Player/Parent General Meeting on Thursday evening, Nov. 18 at the Pin & Cue meeting room in Whitefish. This meeting will begin at 7 p.m. and all new and returning players are encouraged to attend. Parents, family members and team supporters are also invited.

Keith Scholz, 20 years-old, bowled a perfect 300 game on Saturday, November 13 at the Pin and Cue.
This was his first league-sanctioned 300 game - he was bowling for Hometown Flooring on the Weakenders Mixed League.
Ski-pass program benefits community
Whitefish Community Foundation and Big Mountain Ski Resort have joined forces again this year to offer the all-season patron passport program.
Participants have their choice this year of a transferable Big Mountain ski pass, or two adult season passes for a charitable donation of $2,500 which helps benefit the community. Only 50 passes will be issued.
The passport program offers several benefits such as free, preferred parking, a private ski locker, free use of Big Mountain Nordic Center, preferred lodging prices, free use of the gondola and chair lifts and various retail and rental discounts.
Over the past four years, Whitefish Community Foundation and its
donor-advised funds have awarded more than $850,000 to nonprofit organizations throughout the Flathead Valley.
