Violet Freese

Violet Maish Freese, 80, passed away on Aug. 21, 2004, at her home in Kalispell.

She was born Oct. 24, 1923, in Blackduck, Minn., to William Sherman and Charlotte (Horton) Maish.

Violet worked in the shipyards in Bremerton, Wash., during World War II, and on Feb. 11, 1945, she married Myron Jens Freese in Vancouver, Wash.

She loved playing cards, bingo and reading and was member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She was devoted to her family and was a loving wife, mother and great grandmother.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband; a grandson, Timothy Allen Smith; and three siblings.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald L. Freese and wife, Mary, of Kalispell, and Jerry Freese and wife, Wanda, of Columbia Falls; three daughters, Janice Tomcho and husband, George, of Libby, Myra Heindel and husband, Dale, of Kalispell, and Phyllis Stewart and husband, Ken, of Great Falls; 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held Aug. 27, 2004, at Glacier Memorial Gardens.

The family suggests memorial gifts be given to the Dialysis Center, 135 Commons Way, Kalispell MT 59901.
