Violet Maish Freese

Violet Maish Freese, 80, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004 at her home in Kalispell. She was born on Oct. 24, 1923 in Blackduck, Minn. to William Sherman and Charlotte (Horton) Maish.

Violet worked in the shipyards in Bremerton, Wash. during WWII and on Feb. 11, 1945 married Myron Jens Freese in Vancouver, Wash. She loved playing cards, Bingo, reading and was member of the Eagles Auxiliary. She was devoted to her family and was a loving wife, mother, and great grandmother.

Violet was preceded in death by her husband, a grandson; Timothy Allen Smith; and three siblings. She is survived by 2 sons: Ronald L. Freese and wife Mary of Kalispell, and Jerry Freese and wife Wanda of Columbia Falls; three daughters: Janice Tomcho and husband George of Libby; Myra Heindel and husband Dale of Kalispell; and Phyllis Stewart and husband Ken of Great Falls; 17 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Violet were Friday, Aug. 27 at Glacier Memorial Gardens. Visitation was at Johnson Mortuary Chapel on Thursday. The family suggests memorial gifts be given to the Dialysis Center, 135 Commons Way, Kalispell, MT 59901.

Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Mortuary & Crematory.
