Dean F. Schneider

Dean F. Schneider, 79, passed away Monday, Aug. 16, 2004, at Greeley County Hospital in Tribune, Kan.

He was born Nov. 1, 1924, at Eagle, Neb., the son of Fred G. and. Maude B. Reeder Schneider. He had been a Tribune resident since 1957 and was a farmer and a retired employee of Greeley County Road Department. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.

Mr. Schneider was a member of the United Methodist Church in Waverly, Neb., and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7521 at Tribune.

On Jan. 6, 1954, he married Evelyn Viola Caylor at Lincoln, Neb.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Brian D. Schneider and his wife Pam of Tribune, Kan.; two daughters, Diane L. and her husband Kenneth Massey of Eudora, Kan., and Nancy and her husband, Greg Henning of Whitefish; nine grandchildren, Robyn Keiter of Denver, Colo., Cole Massey of Eudora, Kan., Ryan Henning of Seattle, Wash., Steve Henning and Cody Henning, both of Whitefish, Tyson Schneider and Kaylie Schneider, both of Tribune, Jessica Robson of Watkins, Colo., and Jerrod Massey of Ft. Collins, Colo.

His parents, a brother and a sister, and a nephew preceded him in death.

Memorial services were held Aug. 20 at the United Methodist Church in Tribune, with full military honors. Rev. Gary Gooding officiated.

Private inurnment was at the Greeley County Cemetery, Tribune.

Memorials may be given to the Greeley County Health Center or the VFW, in care of Price and Sons Funeral Home.
