Thanks for The Wave
I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the people in and around Whitefish for their generous contributions to The Wave. This magnificent facility was made possible by your contributions of money, time, creativity, and moral support.
Working with John Kramer was a pleasure. His tireless efforts were essential to the project's success. Susan and Brad Seaman brought creativity that sets The Wave apart from all other facilities of its kind. Our Board of Directors (John Kramer, Gayle Weinberg, Carol Atkinson, Swithin McGrath, Jim Alderson, and Gary Marks) always gave solid encouragement and support for the project. Marty Gilman headed up our great team of lending institutions and made sure the money was in place when we needed it. The Whitefish City Council, past and present, has been there with votes and encouragement. Scott Elden and John Rawlings gave The Wave that beautiful flair. Sam McGough, John Phelps, and our community artists have all been valuable to the project. Stan DeBlauw and Shawn Baker of Swank Enterprises, our contractor, were great to work with and gave us a wonderful facility.
Doug Mahlum is much more than a manager and consultant, and we could not have done without his enthusiasm, creativity, and hard work. He brought on Art Krueger as Director. Every day, Art and his staff show their commitment to The Wave.
Over 700 individuals, families, and businesses donated money, goods or services. Your generosity was enormous.
Never before have I seen a team work so well together. Never before have I been so grateful. Thank you.
Dan Weinberg, Project Chairman
