Student of the week

Torri Hoye, a senior at Columbia Falls High School, is student of the week of April 25. She was nominated because she is a great gal and always willing to help out. Torri is the daughter of Cora Hoye, of Columbia Falls, and receives a personal pan pizza compliment of Pizza Hut.

Volunteers honored

Volunteers for North Valley Senior Center activities will be honored during their potluck dinner, Friday, May 6, at 5:30 p.m. A Mexican theme will be used with special program. Roxy Larsen, center manager, can be contacted for further information.

Community prom

The Flathead Valley Community Prom, one of the most unique events

of the year, takes place at Columbia Falls High School gymnasium, Friday, April 29. It's the 14th year the prom has been held at the high school. The Don Lawrence Orchestra will be playing for dancing between

8 p.m. and 11 p.m. Donations are accepted to help with decorating and other expenses, but an admission fee is not charged.

Horse cleanup

Hungry Horse will have a town cleanup April 30 starting at 9 a.m. at the fire hall. There will be a free cookout for all volunteers at lunch time as well as a bike and cash giveaway. Call 387-4113 or 387-5535 for more information.

Register for school

The Glacier Christian School will have pre-registration from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the school May 9. Call 892-4798 for more information.

NVH celebration

North Valley Hospital will hold its 100-year celebration from 1 to 6 p.m., May 12, at the new hospital site off Highway 40. Access via JP Road. Site blessing is 2 p.m. Barbecue dinner is 4 to 6 p.m. Event is free.

Swim team

The Columbia Falls swim team will have its sign-ups May 1 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the North Valley Community Center. Call Ron Newton at 387-5024 or Cindi Woods at 387-5648. The season runs from June 1 to July 31.

Wax museum

Ruder Elementary will have its wax museum Thursday (today) from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 to 1:30 p.m. at the school.

Food drive

The letter carriers food drive is May 14. Leave non-perishable food items at the mailbox.

Lewis and Clark

Glacier Gateway fourth-graders will present the musical Lewis and Clark at 1:30 p.m., April 29, in the Columbia Falls High School's Little Theater with a reception to follow. The student program will take place at 10 a.m. the same day, same place.

Veterans meet

Disabled American veterans meet May 4 at 6:30 p.m. at the VFW in Kalispell. Call 752-0198.
