Edward Frank Strachota

Edward Frank Strachota, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2005 at his home in Kalispell.

Edward was born on Feb. 12, 1927 in Chicago, Ill., to Frank and Marie (Miklica) Strachota. After high school he attended Purdue University where he graduated with a degree in engineering. He later attended Northwestern University. Ed joined the Navy where he served as an Electronic Technician's Mate. He was honorably discharged in June of 1959. He worked as an Aerospace Engineer for Lockheed Marten and also for NASA. Later he was a licensed Real Estate salesman in both Colorado and Montana.

He married Marilyn Smith and they would have been celebrating their 55th wadding anniversary this month. He loved golfing, boating and dearly loved being with his family.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn of Kalispell, his children, Larry Strachota and wife Nancy, Cheryl Bloom and husband Charles, Deborah Catello and Tim Strachota, grandchildren Cory Bloom and wife Cara, Chris Hicks and David Bloom. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2005 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home with the Deacon Fred Topp officiating. The family requests donations be made to a charity of the donors choice.
