Roy Arnold

Roy N. Arnold, 78, passed away Aug. 14, 2005, at the Washington State Veterans Home in Spokane.

He was born Aug. 24, 1926, to Jessie and Roy Arnold, Sr. He graduated from Whitefish High School, worked in Glacier National Park, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II.

He attended Gonzaga University and was a member of the men's glee club. He worked in the commercial insurance industry for 40 years, retiring in 1992. Roy was most proud of his association with Lloyds of London. He was a member of AA for 29 years and also served on numerous boards and committees during his life.

Roy was loved deeply by his wife and family. He touched many lives in many ways. He will be sorely missed by all until we are reunited with him again.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Minnie Arnold, of Spokane; children Matt (Lenya Treewater) Arnold, of Seattle, Mark (Robin) Arnold, John (Stephanie) Arnold, Cathy (Mike) Sacco, Joe Arnold, Beth (Jim) Brasch, Tom (Kathleen) Arnold, Bill (Dina) Arnold, all of Spokane, and Peggy (Scott) Spiegelberg, of Corvallis, Ore.; 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Aug. 20, 2005, at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Spokane. A Committal Service followed at Holy Cross Cemetery.
