School musical

West Glacier School invites the public to its annual silent auction and performance of Jungle Book in conjunction with the Missoula Children's Theatre. Tickets cost $3 per person or $10 per family. The play starts at 7 p.m., with silent auction bids to close 20 minutes after the end of performance.

Wrestling sign-ups

Little Guy Wrestling sign-ups for Columbia Falls Wildcats will take place Sunday, Feb. 13, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the high school gym foyer. All wrestlers ages 5-6 will register for two nights a week for three weeks instruction, with three weekends of competition. All wrestlers seven years old through sixth grade will register for three nights a week for six weeks of instruction. All seventh and eighth graders will register at school for the same six-week season, with six weekend competitions and two weekday competitions.

Student of the Week

Ashlee Nickerson, a freshman at Columbia Falls High School, has been selected student of the week for the week of Feb. 7. She was nominated because she works hard and consistently helps others. The faculty and staff make nominations for student of the week. Ashlee is the daughter of Kory Hamdan, of Columbia Falls, and receives a personal pan pizza compliments of Pizza Hut.

Pancake supper

Pancake supper takes place Friday, Feb. 11, at North Valley Senior Center with the public invited. Serving "all you can eat" pancakes, eggs, ham and beverage will take place between 4 and 7 p.m. Proceeds will go toward the natural gas bill, which was $264.82 for January.

Plant talk

Tara Carolin and Jen Asebrook, Glacier National Park botanists, will be giving a slide show on "Plants and ecology of Glacier's east side grasslands" at the Feb. 16, 7 p.m., meeting of the Flathead Chapter of the Montana Native Plant Society.

Twins sign-ups

The Glacier Twins American Legion baseball team will have its sign-ups during the lunch hour Feb. 11 at Columbia Falls High School, Feb. 18 at Whitefish High School, and Feb. 25 at Bigfork High School. Players must be between 15 and 19 years old from all three communities.

Singing valentines

The Flathead Valleyaires Barbershop Chorus will offer singing valentines Feb. 14. To make a reservation, call 755-2736 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.

Valentine lunch

St. Richard's CCW will sponsor its annual Valentine's luncheon Feb. 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Parish Center. Lunch includes quiche, salad and dessert. Cost is $4 per person.

Chocolate brunch

The Columbia Falls Women's Connection will have a chocolate lovers brunch Feb. 15 at 9:30 a.m. at the Nite Owl. Cost is $7 per person. Call 387-5316 for more information.
