Basketball camp

Columbia Falls will hold its annual summer basketball camp next week. It's open to boys and girls and runs July 11 -15. Open from third graders through seniors. The schedule is: Grades three through five, 10 a.m. to noon, grades six through eight, 1 to 4 p.m. and grades nine through 12, 6 to 9 p.m. Cost is $40, you also receive a T-shirt. Camp includes one-on-one competition, free throw, campers of the day. Call 892-7731 for more information. Sign up is at the door at the high school gym.

Soccer camp

Columbia Falls Youth Soccer will host a Challenger Sports British Soccer Camp in Columbia Falls, July 11-15. There will be a mini camp for 4-5 year olds for 1 1/2 hours each day, goalie clinic, and half day or full day options for older players.

Concert series

The Lions Club concert series continues this week with Montana Midnight, a classical guitar quartet. Concert starts at 8 p.m. tonight (Thursday) at the Marantette Park bandstand. Next week, July 14, is the Montana Highlanders Pipe Band.

3-on-3

The Kiwanis Club three-on-three basketball tourney is planned for Heritage Days on July 30. Teams should sign up now. Categories range from youth girls and boys to men's and co-eds. Games start at 8:30 a.m. Registration forms are available at Orthopedic Rehab in the Falls Station, the Columbia Falls City Library and by calling 892-0681.

Honor roll

Jeffrey McKee of Columbia Falls was named to the spring honor roll at Washington State University.

Smith graduates

Marvin C. Smith of Columbia Falls graduated from Eastern Washington University on June 11 with a doctorate in physical therapy. Smith graduated from Columbia Falls in 1995 and is the son of Beverly Smith of Columbia Falls. Marvin plans to live in Portland and work at Oregon, Health and Science University.

Jazz Camp

Columbia Falls will hold its annual Jazz camp for students from 9 a.m. to noon July 11-15 at the high school. There are two separate sections. One for musicians in grades 7-9 and one for musicians grades 10-12. There is a concert Thursday night. Cost is $50 and includes instruction in improvisation and sectionals. North Fork meeting

The North Fork Interlocal meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. July 13 at Sondreson Hall.

Board member
