Track athletes honored for accomplishments in year-end ceremony

The Columbia Falls track teams announced the year end awards last week, honoring seniors Kyle Rosenbaum, Bekah Stoltz and Cassie Stoneman for their season-long contributions.

Rosenbaum was the top scorer for the boys this year and also was selected to the All-State and All-Conference teams.

Stoltz was presented with the girls' Most Valuable award and was also named to the All-State and All-Conference teams.

Stoneman was named the Outstanding Senior for the girls and also made the All-State and All-Conference teams.

Both the boys and the girls had seven members named to the All-State team, a testament to their strong season and improvement as the year progressed.

The other boys named to the All-State team were seniors Tommy McNulty, Devin Schmit, Jace Ladenburg, Keyvin Walter, juniors Jack Scherman and Dillon West. Each also made the All-Conference team and McNulty was presented with the Most Improved award.

For the girls, senior Kim Pearce, junior Lyndee Thueson, sophomores Amber Lampman, Danielle Vukonich and Jessica Boyer were also honored as All-State and All-Conference performers.

Boyer and Lampman each were named as the Most Improved as well.

Other All-Conference performers for the boys were senior Jeremy Fauske, juniors Greg Macijunas, Kevin Boyer, Nick Beckwith, Daniel Byrd and Bobby Opp.

Freshman Chase Fairbank was named the Outstanding Freshman for the boys.

Senior Desiree Marjerrison, sophomore Sarah Sturz, and freshman Emily Stoltz and Jylisa Fields were also named All-Conference, with Stoltz and Fields winning the Outstanding Freshman award. Marjerrison was also presented with the Coaches Award.

Other letter winners for the boys were senior Brighton Hollis, Andy Reindl, Paul Johnson, juniors Steffen Anderson, Andrew Sweeney, Alex Branch, sophomores Kyle Jangula, Jason Sternad, Jared Jimmerson and J.D. Fields.

Courtney Walsh also won a letter for the girls.

Certificate winners for the boys were seniors Rod Dodge, Tu Tran, Andrea Turci, junior Nico Venteicher, sophomores Matt Busick, Tanner Hatch, Bobby Pearce, freshman Weston Bartkoski, Morgan Bodily, Steve Brennan, Chase Fairbank, Mike Hader, Nate Klug, Scott Palmer and Andy Webb.
