Jean Caciari
Jean Caciari, 84, of Whitefish, passed away of natural causes April 24, 2005, at the North Valley Hospital, in Whitefish.
Jean was born Dec. 28, 1920, in Whitefish to Frank and Teresa Caferro. She married Vince Caciari on April 1, 1940, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Jean worked in the treasurer's office at the county court house for many years before becoming a vendor at the Whitefish Liquor Store until her retirement.
Jean was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, Granny's Club, Soroptimists, Golden Agers, American Legion, Democratic Women's Club, Altar Society and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. She was most recently named Winter Carnival Queen of Riverside Senior Living.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Vince; her parents; a sister; and a brother.
She is survived by a brother, Cecil Caferro; children Joseph Caciari and wife, Katie, in Missoula, Dolores Lagerquist and her husband, Jack, in Idaho Falls, and Benilda Delgado and husband, Julio, in Whitefish; grandchildren Michael Caciari, Stephen Caciari, Marya Warren, Michael and Tracy McMullan, John and Kara Lagerquist, Vinny and Jose Delgado; great grandchildren Hannah and Sean Lagerquist, Hailey and Anthony Warren, Vinnie Caciari, and Calab Robert Caciari.
A Mass of the Christian burial took place May 2 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, in Whitefish, with Rev. Patrick Patton officiating. Burial followed at the Whitefish Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donors' choice in Jean's name.
