Patricia Parker

Patricia M. Parker, 69, a longtime Whitefish resident, passed away of natural causes Sept. 7, 2005, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

She was born June 21, 1936, in Morris, Minn., the daughter of Edwin P. and Cecilia C. Reardon.

She attended the Nursing School of Saint Francis in Breckenridge, Minn., and graduated in 1957. Patricia spent many years as a nurse working in hospitals and nursing homes.

She was an avid reader and member of a local book club. She was active at St. Charles Catholic Church, serving as a lay minister. She volunteered many hours at North Valley Hospital, Colonial Manor nursing home in Whitefish, the American Cancer Society Relay for Life, and the Stumptown Historical Society. She loved the outdoors, hiking, skiing and spending time in Glacier National Park.

Patricia was a generous and compassionate wife, mother and friend. She touched the lives of many people.

She is survived by her husband Marvin, at the family home in Whitefish; daughter Karrin; sons John and wife, Nancy, and Michael; sister Dolores; brother Michael; and nieces and nephews and granddaughter Claire.

A Christian Wake Service was held Sept. 11, 2005, at the St. Charles Catholic Church. A Memorial Mass of the Christian Burial was held Sept. 12, 2005, at the St. Charles Boromeo Catholic Church in Whitefish, with Rev. Pat Patton celebrant.

The family has suggested memorials be made in her name to Wings, P.O. Box 7852, Kalispell MT 59904.
