Kathy Cantu

| August 17, 2006 11:00 PM

Kathy Ann (Sandefur) Cantu, 50, "passed into the arms of our Savior, the Lord Jesus," on Aug. 7, 2006, at Healthcenter Northwest, in Kalispell.

She was born March 11, 1956, to Arnold and Eileen Sandefur, in Whitefish, the oldest of three children. She attended Whitefish schools and graduated from Whitefish High School in 1974. She worked as a telegrapher for the Burlington Northern Railroad, where she met Octavio Cantu. They were married in 1980 and moved to Lolo, where they had three children, Brooke, Brad and Brian.

Kathy was a giver with a big heart, very appreciative, never forgetting birthdays or special occasions. She kept a very gracious home in Lolo, where she was involved with many neighborhood activities with her children, as well as home-decorating projects and quilting.

She loved being a mom and was very proud of each of her children. She enjoyed playing the piano, and over the years she taught lessons and played for her church.

Kathy is survived by her three children, Brooke, of Kalispell, Brad, his wife Jenn and their daughter Angelyn, of Missoula, and Brian, of Missoula; her parents Arnold and Eileen Sandefur, of Kalispell; her brother Larry, of Whitefish; and her sister Janice, of Missoula.

A memorial service will take place Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, of Stevensville.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to Valley Christian School, 2526 Sunset Lane, Missoula MT 59804.
