Evelyn Janicke

Evelyn Janicke, age 89, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell Montana. She was born Oct. 21, 1917 in Wannaska, Minnesota to John and Emma Johnson.

She was the oldest of six children. Evelyn enjoyed cooking and became a reputable cook in some of the finer restaurants in Whitefish and Libby. She also enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards, and just being with her family.

The family would like to give our heart felt thanks to her grandson Justin and wife Cindy for their love and care given to our Mom and Grandma.

She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Janicke, daughter Arlene Wheat, and 3 brothers.

She is survived by 3 son's; Wayne Janicke, Frank Janicke Jr.; and Kenneth Janicke; 1 sister, Marlene O'Brien and husband George of MN; 1 brother, Jack Johnson and wife Judy of Martin City, MT and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Evelyn were held be held Friday, Dec. 15 at 10 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls, MT. There will be no visitation.
