Helping to build literacy

| February 2, 2006 11:00 PM

Clear Skies Child Care and Preschool is proud to be the recipient of a Community Giving Grant from Target. Clear Skies Child Care and Preschool received $1,250 that will be used to help strengthen their preschool literary program.

This grant is part of the on-going support Target provides to local communities throughout the country. Every week, Target gives more than $2 million to strengthen families and communities across the nation with a focus on education, the arts, social services and other vital community partnerships.

Clear Skies Child Care and Preschool is a nonprofit organization that has been a part of the Whitefish community for more than 20 years. The staff and children at Clear Skies would like to thank Target for the opportunity to receive this grant.

This funding will permit Clear Skies to purchase a wide variety of reading and writing materials that would otherwise be unavailable. These materials will include books, puppets, finger puppets, paper, a chalk board, a dry-erase board, literacy bags, flannel-board story sets, and read-along story tapes.

Once again, thank you Target.
