Cheslie Hunt

Cheslie Herbert Hunt, 88, of Whitefish, passed away Feb. 7, 2006, in Bozeman.

He was born Dec. 18, 1917, in Norden, Neb., to Harold W. and Mabel L. (Havens) Hunt.

He married Clara Edith Hunt, and they enjoyed 66 years together. The couple lived in Batesland, S.D., and Custer, S.D., before moving to the Flathead Valley in 1965. He was a timber faller until his retirement.

Cheslie was a God-fearing man and was active in his church. He loved to fish and hunt. He especially loved his family.

He was preceded in death by sisters Glenna Hunt and Bonnie Bauer; brothers Verlin, Jessie and Gerald; and daughter-in-law Betty Hunt.

Cheslie is survived by his wife, Clara Edith; son Estile Hunt; daughter Shirley and Dean Hartman; grandchildren Wayne and Tina Hunt, Patrick Hunt, Ardean and Tom Johnson, and Linda and Jon Reed; great grandchildren Steven, Christopher and Jessie Hunt; and brothers Kenneth, Lauren, Wes and Duane.

Funeral services were held Feb. 11, 2006, at the Church of the Nazarene in Whitefish. Interment will be in Glacier Memorial Gardens
