William W. Hart

William W. Hart, age 81, passed away on Thursday, June 29, 2006 at his residence in Bigfork, Montana. He was born on July 23, 1924 at Agar, South Dakota the son of William A. and Florence Faye (Currier) Hart.

He was educated in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and entered the U.S. Army on October 28, 1942 at Butte, MT and served in the South Pacific.

He was injured in battle and returned to the U.S. in June 1944 and was a patient at McCaw General Hospital in Walla Walla, WA for three months to heal from the injuries.

On February 13, 1947 he was united in marriage to Janice Pattison in Billings, Montana. In September 1951 they moved back to Milwaukee where he worked as a steamfitter. He and Janice raised three children and after 39 years, they retired and moved back home to Montana. They moved to Bigfork in 1990.

There he spent much time rebuilding old cars and engines in his garage. He also built model airplanes and clocks.

He was a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Bigfork and a retired member of the Steamfitters Local 601 of Milwaukee, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Helen Mavis Hart and Eleanor M. Brovold and a brother Howard M. Hart.

He is survived by his wife Janice of Bigfork, MT; his children Donna Jean McQueen and husband Kenneth of Thompson Falls, MT; William S. Hart and Daniel P. Hart both of Hartford, WI and Steven D. Hart of Germantown, WI; eleven grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
