Food drive success

The Flathead Food Bank's five countywide pantries — in Kalispell, Evergreen, Columbia Falls, Martin City and Bigfork — received about 14,400 pounds of food during the May 13 Letter Carriers Food Drive.
This food drive came at a very important time for the Food Bank. Donations typically drop off quite dramatically in the summer. The end result is that the Food Bank must purchase many products from local grocers.
We would like to thank all of the hard-working letter carriers of the Flathead Valley, with special thanks to Leroy and Kari, for making the Letter Carriers Food Drive such a success.
Special thanks again to the media and our community, who always come through when we need it most.
