Audubon trip

Join Flathead Audubon on Saturday, June 17, on a trip through a wide variety of bird habitats on the road to Tally Lake. Meet at the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks building on 490 N. Meridian at 7 a.m. and return by 1 p.m. Bring binoculars. For more information, contact trip leader Bruce Tannehill at 862-4548. Everyone is welcome.

Driver's ed

Driver's education signups are right now at the high school until June 23. Classes start July 1. Call 892-6500. Ext. 0.

Science conference

There will be a science conference at Waterton Lakes National Park from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Bayshore Inn Convention Centre July 27. Admittance is free.

Graduates

Columbia Falls native Dru McMillian has graduated from Dana College with a bachelor's degree in social work. She is the daughter of Scott and Lear Weaver of Columbia Falls. She was also named to the dean's list.

Graduates II

Brice Cordier and Margaret Dakin, both of Columbia Falls, have graduated from Gonzaga University. Cordier received a bachelor's of arts and Dakin received a bachelor's of business administration.

Softball awards

Vanesha Riley of Columbia Falls was named to the all-state softball team recently. Riley played third base for the Kats this season and was also named all conference. Catcher Amber James, was given honorable mention, as was Amanda Milliard at short stop and Kayla Stinger in the outfield.

Toastmasters

Columbia Falls Speaks Toastmaster's meet Tuesday June 20 from noon - 1 p.m. The meetings are held at the Columbia Falls City Hall- council chambers. Call 892-2868 or 892-3113 for more information.

Women meet

The Columbia Falls Women's Connection meets at 11:30 a.m. at the North Valley Community Building Room for lunch. Topics are picnic planning and life planning. Call 387-4119 or 892-5990 for reservations. Cost is $7 inclusive.

Jazz camp
