Park can

| June 28, 2006 11:00 PM

It's been a while since I've updated the public on the status of the public rest room facilities at the Kiddie Park. We've been successful in raising nearly $35,000, and we're now making a final push to raise the remaining $5000.

The Rotary Club of Whitefish has been the major contributor thus far and will soon sign a construction agreement with the city. The survey and engineering work was donated and has been finished. A landscape plan has also been drawn.

The city is currently gathering cost estimates for the necessary infrastructure. This information will be presented to the city council at their July 17 meeting. Upon approval by the council, Rotary will then be free to sign a contract with the manufacturer of the facility.

The manufacturer, CXT, Inc., will then take 75 to 90 days to build the concrete structure and will deliver it and offload it with a crane. Shortly after, we'll hook up the utilities.

Please consider sending a donation to "Gotta Go," P.O. Box 1845, Whitefish MT 59937.
