Conners to play volleyball for Montana Tech

| March 15, 2006 11:00 PM
Whitefish High School senior volleyball player Jessie Conners has signed on to play with the Montana Tech Oredigger's volleyball team.

In 2005, Conners was named to the second team for the Northwestern A All-Conference and the second team for the Class A State Tournament Team. She was also voted best defensive player by her teammates and the MVP defensive specialist of the ABC All Star Tournament.

"We are very exited about signing Jessie," said Montana Tech volleyball coach Marilyn Tobin. "She is a tremendous back row player because of her ball control and her ability to read opposing hitters well. She also comes from one of the best high school volleyball programs in the state, Whitefish High."

For three straight years, Conner's high school team won the Northwestern Conference Championship, the Divisional Championship, and the Class A State Championship.

Conners plans on majoring in applied health at Montana Tech.
