Arts in April a big success

| May 10, 2006 11:00 PM

Students at Muldown Elementary just finished a four-week section of Arts in April. Artists from both the community and school provided the opportunity for all second, third and fourth graders to choose from 28 art sections.

This was a wonderful opportunity for the students to be introduced to various art medias.

The PTA provided most of the financing, and the following artists provided their time and talent: Titiana Zolotareff, Nancy Williams, Cari Wick, Joanie Sorenson, Danna Schultz, Cindy Weaver, Carol Stearn, Doreen Ibsen, Heidi Haugen, Tom Gilfilan, Bernadette Watts, Dan Olsen, Larry LaRoque, Amy Mohn, Lillian Judge, Gary Weller, Linda Coco, Tess Fitzgerald, Jamie Kuntz, Jill Courtney, Cathy Juno, Shelby Powell, Melanie Drown, Joyce Murphy Stephanie Kenkel, and Jeff and Janie Green.

The program concluded with the students sharing their new talents at a "color your talents" assembly held on May 8. Without the dedicated artists and the financial assistance, this enriching opportunity would not be possible.
