Free meals

The Columbia Falls Kitchen wants to thank Church Women United for their generous donation of $300 to the Kitchen. It will go a long way to help serve free meals beginning on Monday, Nov. 27, through Thursday, Nov. 30, in the basement of St Richard's Catholic Church at 6 p.m. Join them for hot, nutritious meals

Toastmasters

Columbia Falls Speaks Toastmasters meets twice a month on the first and third Tuesdays from noon to 1 p.m. at the Columbia Falls City Hall in the council chambers. Potluck style lunches are provided for all to share by our members. There is also a morning meeting provided by the North Valley Club. The meetings run from 7-8 a.m. and are being held at the Montana Coffee Traders in downtown Whitefish. The next morning meeting is Nov. 29 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Dem women

The regular luncheon meeting of the Flathead County Democratic Women will be on Monday, Nov. 27 at 11:45 a.m. at the Red Lion Inn in the Kalispell Center Mall. Helen Pilling will present a program on recycling. The cost of the luncheon is $8. No reservations are required and all are welcome to attend.

Twins garland

The Glacier Twins are selling garland again this year. Call Tom Ridings at 892-2095 or 250-7001 for more information.

Night of Lights

The annual Night of Lights parade and Christmas celebration is Dec. 1. Line up for the parade at the north end of Nucleus Avenue begins at 5 p.m., judging is at 5:30 p.m. and the parade starts at 6:30 p.m. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at First Citizens Bank immediately after the parade. There will be crafts and other wares for sale as well as food at the North Valley Senior Center and the North Valley Community room.

Ulrich show

Internationally acclaimed photographer, Tom Ulrich, presents his annual wildlife digital slide show featuring birds and other wildlife from Costa Rica and North America on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at Grouse Mountain Lodge at 7 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 7 at the Outlaw/Bulldog at 7 p.m.

Admission is $5. Tickets at the door. Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flathead County.

Sports kickoff

The Columbia Falls winter sports kickoff sponsored by the Booster Club is 7 p.m. Nov. 28 in the high school cafeteria for a spaghetti feed.
