Fund-raiser a swingin' success
Thank you so very much to the Flathead Valley community. The Lighthouse Christian Home's Swingin' Is Believin' concert and dance on Feb. 23 at the Lodge At Whitefish Lake was a swingin' success. The support of the businesses and individuals shows a clear picture of the heart of this beautiful place in which we live. The generosity of our residents has blessed us mightily, and we are humbly grateful for their gifts.
Our goal was to give you an enjoyable evening of Big Band music and dance, introduce you to the Lighthouse staff and residents, and provide unique auction items for purchase. Our goals were met by a packed dance floor, outstanding community fellowship, and overwhelming response to the silent and live auctions. Thank you for far exceeding our expectations.
All of the evening's events would not have been possible without the support of the staff at the Lodge At Whitefish Lake and our co-sponsors, Mountain West Bank and Midway Rental/Midway Rental Celebrate.
We also want to recognize the Swingin On High Big Band, directed by B.J. Lupton, and the Flathead High School Swing Dance Club, directed by Vicki Hyde, for donating their time and talents to the evening's entertainment.
Our heartfelt thanks also go to the many auction donors, as well as those who purchased raffle tickets for the $1,000 of gas donated by local individuals and businesses. Congratulations to Misty Retz, of Whitefish, for winning the $1,000 gas raffle.
The residents, staff and board members are excited about the possibilities opened up by the generosity displayed at this event. We humbly seek the Lord's direction in this coming year, desiring to be good stewards of your gifts.
