Quilt guild meets
A Teakettle Quild Guild meeting is scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Columbia Falls Community Center, 235 Nucleus Ave. Kathie Bauer will demonstrate making pillow cases.

Big Brothers Big Sisters event set
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flathead County invites community members to a special event on Thursday, Aug. 23 at the North Valley Community Room in Columbia Falls. That is in the front of The Moving Image building at 235 Nucleus Ave. The session begins at 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of the event is to acquaint community members with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and there is no obligation. Organization activities in Columbia Falls include Lunch Pail volunteers at the elementary schools.

Rummage sale
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will host a rummage and bake sale on Thursday and Friday, Aug. 23 and 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The sale will be at the church, located at 401 7th St. W. in Columbia Falls.
NF Land Use workshop set
The North Fork Land Use Advisory Committee will hold a second workshop to review the current NF Neighborhood Plan to both update it and assure its compliance with the new Flathead County Growth Policy. The session will be on Tuesday, Aug. 28, at 7 p.m. at Sondreson Community Hall (North Fork Road at Whale Creek). All North Fork landowners are strongly urged to attend this meeting to provide input to successfully update the neighborhood plan.
Middle Canyon Committee meets
The Middle Canyon Advisory Committee meets on Tuesday, Aug. 28 at 7 p.m. at the Glacier National Park Community Building to re-engage in updating “The Canyon Plan.” B.J. Grieve has offered to attend the meeting and review the plan, and provide guidance on what needs to be done and how to go about it.
