JV Bulldogs end season with wins over Ronan, Bigfork

The Bulldogs' junior varsity basketball team took on the Ronan Chiefs Friday and won 76-50 and then defeated the Bigfork Vikings 71-35 on Saturday. The two wins put the team's record at 9-8 for the year.
"Every game there was improvement. I was very pleased with the kids the way they played the last two games," coach Scott Smith said. "They really stepped it up and played hard. Overall, just a good season with the kids … we ended the season the way we wanted to."
Marc Hotzfield scored 17 points during the game against Ronan. Brad Nielsen made four three-pointers and scored 14 points, and Josh Backer scored 11.
Against Bigfork, Shawn Watterud scored 21 points, making three three-pointers and going 6-7 at the free-throw line. Hotzfield scored 12 points, and Nielsen and Backer scored 10 points each.
