Anna G, Heikens
Anna G, Heikens, age 96, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2006 at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell, Montana. She was born on June 27, 1910 at Glasgow, Montana the daughter of William and Anna (Altmeyer) Bretzke.
She was raised in Glasgow and on June 22, 1929 was united in marriage to John Heikens at Glasgow. They farmed in the Nashua until 1943 when they moved to the Flathead valley, where they farmed in the Creston and Bigfork communities until their retirement. They were active at St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Bigfork and also the Eastside Grange for over 50 years. Moved to Kalispell in 1987, where she attended Risen Christ Catholic Church and then later she attended St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Kalispell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and twelve brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a daughter Helen Zimmerman and husband Ray of Kalispell, MT and a son Tom Heikens and wife Joyce of Bigfork, MT; six grandchildren, Aleta Hall and husband Bill; Ron Zimmerman and wife Kelley; Jani Dryden and husband Ron; Randy Heikens and wife Maria; Jerry Heikens; and Jill Smetana and husband Todd; ten great-grandchildren, Andrea Hall, Tyler Hall and wife Stephanie, Kerah Zimmerman, Kadie Zimmerman, Kyren Zimmerman, Kasidy Zimmerman, April Dryden, Ray Heikens, Scott Morrison and Nicholas Smetana and two great-great-grandchildren, Brenden Fox and Teagen Hall.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. at Johnson Mortuary Chapel with Fr. Vic Langhans officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 3, 2006 at Johnson Mortuary. Burial will follow services at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
