Ashley Renae Reis

Ashley Renae Reis, age 1 day, of Kalispell, passed away on the morning of Tuesday, December 19, 2006 surrounded by her family and loving staff of the Birthing Center at North Valley Hospital in Whitefish.

Ashley was born on Monday, December 18, 2006 at North Valley Hospital to BryAnna and John Reis of Kalispell.

She is survived by her loving parents Bry and John, brother Justen and sister Stephanie, her maternal grandparents; Tammy and Gordie Olson of Columbia Falls; and Gene Zechin of Kalispell paternal grandparents; Audrey Lapka of Bigfork; and Mark Reis of Aberdeen, South Dakota, and her god parents Matthew and Tamara Larsen of Columbia Falls, as well as many other relatives and close friends.

Our "Little Angel" had an all too short life, but a life that was filled with so much Love. Bry and John would like to express their Love and Heartfelt Thanks to all of the staff of the Birthing Center at North Valley Hospital and the Alert Flight Crew and staff for their "Heroic" efforts during Ashley's short life.

A memorial celebration will take place in the spring.

Jo Rainbolt, 65, of Missoula and Bigfork, passed away on December 19, 2006 at St. Patrick's Hospital with her daughter, Kristen, and devoted partner, Lee, by her side. After successfully battling multiple myeloma for the past year, she succumbed to pancreatic cancer.

Jo was born the daughter of Pearl Velma Peterson and Mervin Carl Thompson on April 23, 1941 in Estherville, Iowa. She moved to Missoula in 1964 with her husband Richard Schloemer and graduated with a BFA from the University of Montana in 1969. She lived in the Bitterroot Valley for over two decades, Hot Springs for twelve years and Missoula this past year. She enjoyed the last three summers overlooking the vast waters of Flathead Lake near Woods Bay. Jo raised five kids on a ranch in the Bitterroot with her second husband, Wynn Rainbolt.

Jo is survived by her partner, Lee Zimmerman; daughters, Kori Jo Schloemer and Kristen Schloemer Nicolarsen and her husband Scott Nicolarsen ; adopted son Jed His-Law; stepdaughters Tahlia Rainbolt and Kim Rainbolt; sister Pat Cardarelle and brother Merv Thompson, and one niece and three nephews. Her grandson, Colter Jack Nicolarsen is due in June.

A memorial celebrating Jo's rich and full life will be held at 1:00 on January 6, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Missoula, MT (across from the public library). All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to plant a tree or perennial flowers in her honor.
