Hole in one

Greg Bloom aced the No. 6 hole at Eagle Bend Golf Course June 17, 2007.

He shot his 145-yard hole-in-one with a seven iron on the par three. Bloom's hole-in-one was witnessed by Karen Kershaw and Louise Haley.

"It was great," Bloom said. "It was a good day to be out golfing." Bloom beat out the heavy rains of the afternoon, finishing up his round of golf in the morning.

The hole-in-one was Bloom's first ever, and was made more special because of the Father's Day holiday.

"I knew he was looking down on me," Bloom said about his father who passed away four years ago. "I knew from the moment it left the club."

Bloom's wife also made her first hole-in-one this year. She sank hers in Arizona in early May.
