Grad meeting
A meeting to discuss the Columbia Falls graduation party is 7 p.m. Monday at the high school cafeteria.
Mill levy
A reminder that mill levy elections are Tuesday, May 8. Columbia Falls and Deer Park both are holding mill levy elections. The Columbia Falls levy is for $241,395 and would support full-day kindergarten if passed by the state Legislature. If full-day kindergarten does not pass the Legislature, the levy would be just under $174,000. The Deer Park levies are $10,000 for a building reserve and $5,000 for a technology fund.
Car show
The Flathead Pioneer Auto Club will hold its car show at the Mountain Mall in Whitefish May 5 and 6, starting at 10 a.m. each day.
Chamber meets
The Columbia Falls Chamber of Commerce meets from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Valley Community Building May 8. There is a brochure exchange and tourism celebration.
Forestry Expo
The 18th annual Family Forestry Expo is May 12 and 13 at the Trumble Creek Educational Forest from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Two miles north of U.S. Highway 2 and 40. Event features a host of educational displays, from forestry health to logging and chainsaw demonstrations. Admission is free.
Food drive
The annual letter carrier food drive is May 12. Leave non-perishable food items in or near your mailbox and letter carriers will pick them up for the Flathead Food Bank.
Stallions
The Lippizzaner Stallions will perform at the Majestic Valley Arena May 27 at 2 and 6 p.m. Tickets are $22.50 each. Call the arena for more information at 755-5366.
Lutefisk dinner
The annual lutefisk dinner at the North Valley Senior Center May 19 from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost is $12 per person and they are preparing 100 pounds of lutefisk.
Soccer signups
Columbia Falls Youth Soccer signups for boys and girls in grades K-8 are now. Registration forms are available at schools, the city library or at Hometown Video.
There will be registration held at Ruder and Glacier Gateway on Wednesday, May 2 and May 9 from 2-4 p.m.
