Glacier Babe Ruth is grateful for the support

| September 13, 2007 11:00 PM

Being the first year as president of Glacier Babe Ruth, I want to take the time to thank all the people who helped out and supported Glacier Babe Ruth this past year.

If it was on the field or in the fireworks stand or up at Whitefish Mountain Resort, everyone who put in their time was greatly appreciated.

We plan on growing to be the best program in the state of Montana and Pacific Northwest. Both the league and all-star teams did very well this past year. The future is here, and we have a great outlook for baseball.

As president, I want parents to know that your kids will have a great program to play in after Little League. Babe Ruth baseball can be your kid's best time of his or her life. I experienced it as a kid, and I know these boys did last summer, too.

I can honestly say that baseball is coming back, and it couldn't be possible without the ones who are truly involved. We have a great chance to host a state tournament in 2008, and we are striving to host a regional tournament in the near future.

It couldn't be possible without a community such as Columbia Falls, Whitefish and Bigfork. Thanks again.
