Triplett second in bulls at rodeo opener

Matt Triplett of Columbia Falls earned second place in bull riding last Sunday with a score of 65 in the opening rodeo of the 2008 high school season in Helena. Triplett split seventh and eighth on Saturday with a 56. He finished second in the average.

Sarah Ham, also of Columbia Falls, was fourth in breakaway roping on Saturday with a time of 4.37 and was also fourth in average. In pole bending, Ham was eighth on Saturday (21.99) and ninth on Sunday (22.63). Ham was ninth on Saturday in goat tying (11.24). Her barrel racing times were 15.07 on the first day, and 14.64 on Sunday.
