Fall sports practices begin Aug. 18 in CF

Practice for all fall sports at Columbia Falls High School begins Monday, Aug. 18.

Two-a-day football practice for freshmen through seniors is set for 8 to 10 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.

Girls varsity soccer practice is from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. each day at the high school beginning that day. Boys soccer two-a-day practices are from 9 to 11 a.m. and 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Flip Darling Field.

Volleyball practice for sophomores through seniors is set for 8 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, and at 11 a.m. for freshmen. On Wednesday, all players practice from 8 to 11 a.m. Players will be going through the community selling "gold cards" from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday; it is the annual volleyball fundraiser.

Golf practice begins Monday at 3:30 p.m. at the Meadow Lake Golf Resort course.

Cross country practice begins Monday at 4 p.m. at CFHS. Athletes should meet outside the locker room on the west side of the gymnasium; they should bring running shoes, appropriate clothing and a water bottle.

Students who are participating in fall sports at CFHS are reminded they must have a physical examination before they can begin practice, and a record of the exam must be on file at CFHS.
