PTA thanks for Muldown art
On behalf of the Whitefish Parent Teacher Association, we would like to thank everyone who was involved in the "Showcase of Young Masters" art show held at Muldown Elementary School on Feb. 7.
Stumptown Art Studio, with its guest artists Souheir Rawlings, Guinevere Jones and Barbara Lydon, provided each child at Muldown with a lesson about one of the masters.
Then, with a raft of parent volunteers, we mounted the children's art onto display boards and held an art show in the evening.
Refreshments were provided by the PTA, and musical numbers were performed by the Jazz Ensemble conducted by Mark McCrady from the high school.
The night was a huge success, with many parents, friends and students attending. Our thanks go out to Stumptown Art Studio, their guest artists, Jill Rocksund and the staff of Muldown, and particularly the artists who are the children of Muldown School. The looks of pride on their faces made the entire project worthwhile.
