Shameful tactics used by political action committee

| January 10, 2008 11:00 PM

John Muhlfeld has been an outstanding city councilor. He won this election with 75 percent of the vote, which shows how much Whitefish voters value his public service. Rick Blake and his anonymous friends should respect the voters' decision.

Mr. Muhlfeld has said he owns a home in Whitefish and lives there and paid taxes on it for 10 years. If he chooses to spend time at his fiancee's home, that's his business. Hiring a detective agency to spy on Muhlfeld is beyond sleazy. Get out of people's personal lives, Mr. Blake.

Shameful tactics are being used to attack Muhlfeld, since Blake and his anonymous associates' own candidates were soundly defeated in the election.

I suspect the real reason for this attack is to replace Muhlfeld with someone more to their liking. Scary thought.

Who are these anonymous members of Blake's political action committee, Common Sense in Whitefish Government? Why don't they make themselves known? Are they embarrassed or cowards?

Being embarrassed would certainly be understandable. I'd like to know so that in future when they endorse a candidate, I'll know whom to vote against.
