Margaret Ann "Toots" Gordon, 72, passed away peacefully on Jan. 8, 2008, at the Colonial Manor in Whitefish. She was born in Milwaukee, Wis., on Nov. 26, 1935.

Toots and her husband, Richard, now deceased, moved to Whitefish from Waukesha, Wis., in the summer of 1973.

Toots was a long time member of the Women of the Moose (chapter No. 597) of Whitefish. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and was also an avid bowler and coached numerous years for the Junior Bowling League of Whitefish.

She was known for her warm, loving and unselfish acts of kindness to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Toots was preceded in death by her loving husband Richard and daughter Laura Gordon.

She is survived by her loving children, Kathleen Gordon, of Waukesha, Tom and Heather Gordon of Whitefish, Barbara and Jeff Conners of Windsor, Calif., and Jack Gordon, of Whitefish; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters Elizabeth Manning, of Las Vegas, Alberta Cmelak, of Elcho, Wis., and Penny Sampson, of Watertown, Wis.; sister-in-law Christine Sorger, of Milwaukee; numerous nieces and nephews; and family and friends.

A memorial service took place Jan. 20, 2008, at the Moose Lodge, Chapter No. 597, with Pastor Dan Davis officiating.

The family suggests memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made in Toots' name to the Women of the Moose or to a charity of the donor's choice.
