The tough times continued for the Glacier Twins AA on Monday night, as they lost their lead and the game to Libby's A team in the ninth inning.

With a 4-3 lead going into the final frame, the Twins looked like they were going to pull away with a defensive victory.

That all changed when Steve Bertelsen, of the Loggers, blasted a three-run home run in the top of the ninth, giving his team a 6-4 edge.

The Twins had two runs in the fourth inning and one hit in both the sixth and the eighth innings.

Bridger Beach had two hits on the night, as did Adam Pisk. Scott Palmer, Dustin VonFeldt and Wayde Martinson had one hit each. Ryan Caron had one RBI, as did Brad Nielsen. Scott Palmer had two RBIs.

Kyle Knox got the start on the mound for the Twins and did a nice job, limiting the Loggers to just three runs off four hits after six innings.

The Twins couldn't rally in the bottom of the ninth, however, and took their loss. The game was not in their Western AA conference, but they're now at 0-12 in league play.

On Saturday, the Twins continued their conference slump with a 7-13 loss to the Kalispell Lakers. The Lakers had 17 hits on the day against three Twins pitchers.

The Twins had eight hits with four players hitting doubles — Zane Ridings, Scott Yogodzinski, Ryan Caron and Adam Pisk.

The Twins resumed conference play Wednesday night against the Lethbridge Elks. The Twins take on the Lakers for the final time this season on Thursday (today) at 7 p.m.

The Glacier Twins A team finished in third place in their conference with a 6-6 record. Libby won the conference. The A teams start their district tournament in Florence on Thursday.
