Lady Bulldogs shut out Browning at home
By RICHARD HANNERS / Whitefish Pilot
The Lady Bulldogs had an easy time against Browning last Friday, defeating the Lady Indians 10-0 at home.
With too much snow in Whitefish several weeks ago, the teams flip-flopped the schedule and played in Browning for the first game.
Whitefish senior pitcher Torey Ost struck out five batters and gave up no walks, holding Browning to three singles.
"It was a fine pitching effort by Torey," head coach David Dachs said. "That and good defense behind her."
Bulldog freshman center-fielder Adele FauntLeRoy got a double her first time at bat, then stole third and home to score the Lady Bulldogs' first run. Whitefish scored two more runs in the first inning. They got four runs in the fourth inning.
Senior catcher Desiree Clarke went 3-for-4 at the plate. FauntLeRoy, Ost and junior left-fielder Taylor Ybarra-Brunty all hit doubles.
