Roy Statum

Roy Ellen Statum, 90, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 20, 2008. She was born on Oct. 28, 1917 in Chelan, Wash. She married Staff Sgt. Robert Statum of Mountain Home A.F.B. Idaho on Sept. 11, 1954. They moved to Columbia Falls in 1975 after he retired from the Air Force. She was very active in the First Baptist Church of Columbia Falls and enjoyed gardening and reading.

She was preceded in death by her father Roy, mother Margaret and husband Robert.

She is survived by her son Charles of Columbia Falls; brother-in-law Hal Anglin of Sunnyside, Wash.; sister-in-law Billie Schober of Wenatchee, Wash.; and sister-in-law Darlene Dotson of Puyallup, Wash. She also has many nieces, nephews and cousins spread all over the country.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 27 at the First Baptist Church in Columbia Falls with Rev. Jerry Buchanan officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Columbia Falls.

Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls was in charge of the arrangements.
