Joyce Bergstrom

Joyce E. Bergstrom passed away peacefully on Nov. 10, 2008, at the Colonial Manor in Whitefish after a courageous battle with cancer.

Joyce was born to Chester L. and Grace L. Johnson on July 9, 1928, in Kalispell. She grew up and attended schools in Kalispell and graduated from Flathead High School with the class of 1946.

The day following graduation, June 7, 1946, she married Raymond A. Bergstrom. They moved to Whitefish in 1952 and resided there since.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her only brother Lawrence; and one grandson, Mark Robison.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ray; daughters Linda Olson and husband Ron, of Whitefish, and Nancy Robison and husband Ron, of Columbia Falls; son Bruce Bergstrom, of Nampa, Idaho; grandchildren Todd Olson and wife Meg, Tim Olson and wife Lisa, Heidi Freeman and husband Mike, all of Whitefish, Mason Robison and wife Lynn, of Eureka, and Michael Robison and wife Keni, of Columbia Falls; nine great grandchildren; and devoted friends Shirlee Yeats, Shy McClarty, Dorothy Graham and JoAnna Bitney.

Memorial services will take place Thursday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m. at Eastheaven Baptist Church, at 2010 Whitefish Stage Road.
