DREAM meeting
DREAM Adaptive Recreation Inc. will hold a volunteer appreciation get together and membership meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Pizza Factory, near Home Depot in Kalispell. DREAM, which provides recreation opportunities to disabled people at Whitefish Mountain Resort, will supply the pizza. DREAM is looking for volunteers and people interested in serving on the board. Fly-fishing
The Flathead Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited will welcome Ryan Windham, of the Kingfisher Fly Shop in Missoula, for a program on spring fly-fishing opportunities on Missoula's four rivers, including fishing the spring skwala hatching. The meeting will take place Tuesday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Fish Wildlife and Parks' public meeting room at 490 North Meridian Road in Kalispell. Coffee will be served and the public is welcome.
Garland sale
The Glacier Twins American Legion baseball program's annual Christmas garland rope sales has begun. All proceeds go to the nonprofit organization's players uniforms, equipment, field maintenance and other items. Players will hang garlands at businesses in mid-November. Turkey Trot
The annual Turkey Trot sponsored by the Kalispell Athletic Club will take place on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. The 2-mile and 4-mile races will start and end at the club and follow Whitefish Stage Road. Entry fee is $6 or $14 with a T-shirt. For more information, call Stan Watkins at 752-2880.

Bowl for
Kids' Sake
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Flathead County will hold its annual Bowl For Kids' Sake fundraiser at the Pin and Cue in Whitefish on Friday, Nov. 14, at 10:15 a.m. and Sunday, Nov. 23, at 1:15 p.m. with free bowling, Pizza Hut pizza, Pepsi, fresh-baked cookies from McDonalds and T-shirts. Bowlers must secure $75 in pledges for adults and $50 for kids. Pick up pledge sheets at bowling centers or Pizza Huts or call the Big Brothers Big Sisters office at 752-0092.
