Homecoming 2008

| October 16, 2008 11:00 PM

Not a lot of school work may get done during Spirit Week and the lead-up to Homecoming, but students at Bigfork High School won't soon forget the festivities of 2008.

Whether it was asking Senator Jon Tester questions while dressed in a grass skirt (Hawaiin day) or marching though downtown during the Homecoming Parade, students and the community came together to celebrate the annual BHS rite.

The festivities culminated over the weekend with the crowning of the king and queen on Friday at halftime of the football game against Ronan and the Homecoming dance on Saturday night.

The Homecoming king and queen this year were Cheyne Valentine and Rebekah Bell, a couple off the throne as well. In fact, after Friday night's loss to Ronan, the BHS wide reciever got down on one knee and proposed to Bell, who accepted.

The rest of the court included Brock Boll, Kodie Kunsman, David Myers, Scott Taylor, Jillian Hamilton, Kimmy Nelson, Roxanne Thurman and Jennifer Wirth.
