His byline has been missing from the Bigfork Eagle and West Shore News for several weeks now, but we are still getting calls looking for former reporter Jacob Doran.

Though he said farewell to readers through a column in August, Doran has still been around writing about Glacier hikes, local artists and the Bigfork Playhouse Children's Theatre for the past several months.

Doran, who wrote for us for five years, is in the process of moving with his family to Washington's Skagit Valley, north of Seattle.

As many of you have noted, Doran always paid special attention to making sure the local schools, arts and outdoors got covered in the papers.

We will try our best to carry on the coverage he provided for these facets of the Bigfork and West Shore areas in his absence, but we will need your help.
