Donations needed
During these days of uncertainty and concern with the economy and the related effects on all of us, it is important to take care of each other and our community.
While we may be concerned with global issues, it is time to turn our focus to the local environment and finish a job we started collectively and which needs to be put to rest.
Most of us have enjoyed the benefits of the new Whitefish Middle School auditorium. It is more than we could have ever imagined, and we should be so proud of it and all that it represents, now and into the future.
Carol and Richard Atkinson and John Kramer have personally contributed more than their share in time, energy and cash. They’ve provided their homes as collateral to the project.
At this time, the balance owing on the remodel is still $1 million. These three neighbors have donated to the Stumptown Ice Den, The Wave, the O’Shaughnessy Center, the Whitefish Library, the Smith ball fields, the Dave Olseth Memorial Skatepark and numerous other Whitefish projects we probably won’t ever know about.
Without their generosity, this town most definitely wouldn’t be what it is today. They give from their hearts. They ask nothing in return.
So I am asking you now, when you have a little extra, consider a donation to the Whitefish Middle School auditorium. Let’s get this financial monkey off their backs so that they can move on, perhaps to another project.
